Elton Ralph Lanier, 65, of Auburndale , Florida, passed away on October 6th, 2021 at 12:49pm after a fighting battle with Covid-19.
Elton was born on September 7th, 1956 to Walter Clyde Lanier and Shirley Faye Lanier in Kissimmee, Florida. In 1986, he met LeeAnn Lanier, and they wed in 1988, going on to have 2 children, Cody Lanier and Krystal Lanier with 3 loving children previously Bryan Lanier, Lori Jolliff, and Shawna Babb.
Elton was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them. He was an amazing grandfather to 8 grandchildren, who loved spending time and playing with them.
Elton was also passionate about history, music, nature, and could often be found hunting, at music venues, or on the field for Civil War reenactments when he wasn’t at home. He loved history so much that he traced our family tree back to 1588.
Anyone who knew Elton knew that he was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend you could ask for. He never knew a stranger. He loved to sit and talk to get to know you. He was also a jokester who loved to make you laugh and smile. His laugh lit up a room.
Elton was predeceased by Walter Clyde Lanier and Shirley Faye Lanier. He is survived by his siblings Cindy Daniel (Gary), Walter Lanier (Leatrice), and Ronnie Lanier (Tammie).
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Westwood Missionary Baptist Church. There will be a Homegoing celebration at 10:00 am at Westwood Missionary Baptist Church. He will be buried with his family at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Osceola County, Florida
