Obituary of Donald A. Brungard

Dr. Donald A. Brungard, 87, born to the late Silverious and Mae Brungard on January 19, 1932 in Paterson, New Jersey and passed away on January 20, 2019 in Winter Haven, Florida.

Donald is survived by his wife Judith Brungard, two sons Martin (Pamela) Brungard of Carmel, Indiana, and  Gary Brungard of Young Harris, Georgia, and  3 Granddaughters  Emily, Ruth, and Eva Brungard of Carmel, Indiana, and Sister Eileen Lees of Oakland, New Jersey and a number of nieces and nephews. Donald is also proceeded in death by his 2 sisters, Evelyn Zurcher and Sylvia Pombo.

Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and was active with the American Medical Association. Dr. Brungard practiced medicine in Haines City, Florida for 30 years. He specialized in general surgery, and worked at the Heart Of Florida Hospital in Haines City.

There will be a celebration of Donalds life at Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, Florida  on Monday January 28 at 10:00 A.M. Followed by the internment at 2:30 P.M. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with Military Honors. 

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations in Donalds name be made to special ministries at Grace Lutheran Church.
