Obituary of Barbara V. Calvert

WINTER HAVEN – Barbara Vinson Calvert, 86, of Winter Haven FL, was born on December 17, 1934 and entered into eternal rest on January 29, 2021.  She was born in Irwinville, GA, to Nubie and Beulah Vinson, the youngest of one son and seven daughters.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Skip Strine, the father of her three children, her two late husbands, Fred Hutchinson and Wally Calvert, and her son, Barry Strine.  She is survived by her son, Danny Strine and his wife, Tina; daughter, Lisa Lassi and her husband, Greg; daughter-in-law, Ellen Strine; grandchildren, Danielle, Brook, Cody, Brandy, Alexandra, and Tara; great grandchildren, Riley and Charlie; one sister, Kathleen; and many nieces and nephews.  Barbara loved to read, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and play bingo.  In her younger years, she loved bowling, water skiing, boating, and fishing, especially at Little Gasparilla Island where her family had a home for many years. 

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Ocie & Caprice, for their loving care over the last 6 months.
