Obituary of Norma Jean Borden
NORMA JEAN BORDEN
Winter Haven – Born April 20, 1946, Norma Jean Borden, a native of Tennessee, and a resident of Winter Haven since early childhood, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
Preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Scott, her son Lawrence Steven Borden, granddaughter Ashlee Michelle Harvey, four sisters: Rachel Scott, Lois Knapp, Lucille Foust, Margaret Brown, one brother Luke Scott, friends Marlene (Nonny) Cole and Teressa Thompson.
Norma is survived by six sisters: Gladys Faulkner, Linda Jones, Hazel Merrick, Geneva Aultman, Willie Jo Scott and Glennis Stidham, one brother Silas Scott, life partner Alan Metz, Rebecca Harvey, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, the White Family of Winter Haven and the Sexton family of Vernon, Fl.
Norma enjoyed yard sales, visiting antique shops, watching “Pickers” and home improvement shows on TV, shopping, spending time with family and friends, talking on the phone and maintaining her property.
A celebration of life will be held at Steele’s Family Funeral Services on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 6 pm. Location is 207 Burns Lane, SE (Dundee Highway) Winter Haven, Fl 33884.
Interment: Friday, August 6, 2021, at 9 am at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 West Derby Ave., Auburndale, Fl 33823
