Obituary of Billynn L. Mohammed

Billynn Lee Schlinder Mohammed 

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Billynn Lee Schlinder Mohammed, loving mother and wife passed away at the age of 65 in Winter Haven Florida surrounded by family. 

Billynn was born August 14, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA to William Schindler and Eddie Braughton. Billynn worked as a tax preparer for over 25 years in the state of North Carolina and Florida meeting many wonderful clients and friends. On August 29, 2000, she was married to Aftab “Billy” Mohammed in Central Florida. 

Billynn was an avid reader and enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends. Billynn was content having her friends and family around the kitchen table to share a cup of coffee and conversation with. Billynn was known for her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Billynn is preceded in death by her father William and mother Eddie. She is survived by her husband Billy of their home in Dundee, FL. Billynn leaves behind her adoring children; Virgil and Angela Allen of Micro, NC, Victoria Allen and Wesley Gaster of Dunn, NC, Nichole and Kevin Lawrence of Wendell, NC, Natasha and Morris Thompson of Smithfield, NC, Natalie and the late Bryan McLamb of Clayton, NC, and Donny, Ronny, and Travis Mohammed of Trinidad and Tobago. Billynn leaves behind a bouquet of beautiful grandchildren; Mychayla, Jamelynn, Megan, Ethan, Haley, Cameron, Chloe, Makayla, Karley, Savanah, Faith, Samantha Anne, Bristol, Silas, Lillian, Matthew, Anissa, Daniel, Hope, Darion, Sydney, Desha, and one great grandchild Otto. Billynn leaves behind a brother Jeff Biddle of Ada OK and a sister in law Nadia Mohammed-Rodriguez of Central Florida. Billynn was very loved and is leaving behind family and friends from California, Florida, North Carolina, and Trinidad and Tobago. 

Private family viewing will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at Steele’s Family Funeral Services with cremation services provided in Winter Haven, Florida. 

A celebration of life is planned to be held on Saturday, August 28th 2021 at the Pomona Creech Community Building at 3929 Brogden Road, Smithfield, NC at 2 o’clock p.m. Flowers or donations may be sent to 4530 Stevens Sausage Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
