Obituary of Durward Jackson Buck

Durward Jackson Buck ,  88 , of Auburndale , Florida  passed away February 27, 2022  at Good Shepherd Hospice   Auburndale  , Florida . He was born on February 10, 1934  in Wilmington , North Carolina  to Orin and Ruby Buck. .

Durward  is survived by: children Kevin (Dyan), Kathy (Sparlin), Robin (Jim) and Wendy (Doug), grandchildren Orin, Amy (Dustin), James, Dan, Joshua (Nayrosca), Eamon, Gray, great grandchildren Annabelle, Rawlins, Paisley and brothers Jerry and George.

He was preceded in death by: spouse Billie Faye and sisters Fay and Betty.

Durward was a distinguished award winning sports journalist spending over 40 years writing about local sporting events. He was inducted into four different sporting hall of fames. An avid reader and punster, he loved to make others smile. He was known for his kindness, compassion, generosity and brilliant memory.

Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.
