Obituary of Patricia Ann Gellerman

Patricia “Pat” Gellerman, 75, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2022 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.

Pat was born in Menasha, WI on July 29th, 1946.  After graduating from high school, Pat moved to New Jersey for two years, then Wisconsin Rapids, WI, where she lived for 40 years.   While living in Wisconsin Rapids, Pat worked at the Wood County Telephone Company and, in May 1980, married James “Jim” Gellerman.  During their years together, she and Jim enjoyed travel throughout much of the Southern United States and also visited Panama and Peru, where she enjoyed Latin American cuisine, culture and especially the knickknacks.    

In 2010, Pat and Jim moved to Winter Haven, FL to escape the cold Wisconsin winters and enjoy the warmth and sun provided by the Sunshine State.  An added benefit of this move was Winter Haven’s proximity to Savannah, GA and Tampa, FL, where her son Paul and his family lived during this period.  The relatively close distance to these cities allowed for frequent visits with Pat’s grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon and Matias.  They shared many holidays and other special occasions together.     

Although Winter Haven is where Jim sadly passed away in 2017, it was also there that Pat broadened her horizons, made numerous friends and was active in her local retirement community.  She was forever grateful for her dear friends and neighbors, with whom she often played cards and shared countless dinners.  This beautiful group of ladies stood by Pat during her sudden hospitalization in 2021 and throughout the period of her extended care.  Thank you       

Pat was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Jim.  She is survived by her brother Tom, son Paul, daughter-in-law Twiggy, grandchildren, son David, as well as her dear friends.
