Obituary of Keith Ray
Keith Edward Ray- 80, passed away on September 25, 2018 at Life Care Center with Compassionate Care Hospice. Born on May 26, 1938, Keith was the first baby born in Winter Haven Hospital. After graduating from Winter Haven High School in 1956, he attended Florida State University. He served in the National Guard for 8 years.
Keith was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as both a Deacon and Elder. He also volunteered countless hours in the church kitchen. He served on the board of the Polk Training Center. He worked in the sugar industry for over 50 years as District Sales Manager for Savannah Foods and Evergreen Sweetners. He enjoyed time with family, cooking, and even more, eating. He loved spending time in the north Georgia mountains.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife, Jane and children, Mary Blair Ray, Andy Ray (Sherie and son Kasey), Allison Mook (Jennifer and son Riley), Mike Roberts (Pat), Tim Roberts (Debbie, daughters, Jordan, Taylor Sotirin (Matt) and son Ben), Carol Jane Cone (Chuck, sons, Charlie and Chandler).
A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 637 6th Street NW, Winter Haven on Thursday, October 4th at 2pm.
