Larry Battle posted a condolence

Dear Sarah,Katie and family there are not enough words i can say to heal the pain your in right now. Chris always had a reply to any messages or posts i would send him. He was so supportive when my wife passed away nearly 3 years ago. Here is just one post from Chris in reference to my wife's passing. Wiley Christopher Widner
I will miss our little late night chats. RIP my friend. So sorry for yours and our loss Larry. I always thought Chris tried to do what was best and overcome his demons, The Eagles Joe Walsh wrote a song One Day at a Time that dealt with alcohol and drug addictions, knowing Chris Wiley was proud he overcame his. We will always by Red Devils and Kathleen High Alumni until we all are gone. As a fitting tribute to Chris for his love of music, playing music and song i posted 2 songs in dedication and tribute of his memory. Number 1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps by the Beatles , knowing how much Chris loved to play his guitar and i am sure his guitar weeps now, and the second song was from the Eagles Hotel California guitar dueling riff by Joe Walsh and Don Felder. Chris and I often spoke about that duel between Walsh and Felder as nothing but fantastic and professional, So i used Hotel California as a tribute to Chris in his honor and memory, we discussed that song many times. I am so sorry for your loss and i will miss Chris's posts and messages he always shared with me. I shall miss his chats his posts but most of all i shall miss Chris. He was so helpful to me in my time of grief. I shall never forget that God Bless the Widner family......Larry Battle

My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Wiley was a dear friend and I know I am not the only one who will miss his gentle spirit, smile and warmth. I will think of him often and I will smile when I think of what his friendship meant to me and I will cry when I realize I will no longer be able to laugh with him. My sincere condolences. May God be with you all during these days.
