Obituary of Marlene Kay Evans
Marlene “Kay” Evans, 82, of Haines City, went to be with the Lord on August 3rd at Winter Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved cleaning and going to the casino.
Kay as she went by, was born May 13th, 1941 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Herman and Mary (Briggs) Mobley. She attended Coschocton high School and retired from AT&T in Columbus, Ohio. At the time of her death she was employed in the bakery at Publix Grocery in Haines City, a job she loved and cherished. Her work ethic was second to none.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Evans whom she married on Oct. 10, 1969. Four children; James Wills (wife Ginger) of New Castle, IN, Shelly Hoffman (husband Jerry) of Delaware, OH, Shawn Evans (wife Lisa) of Lancaster, OH, and Holli Greene (husband Gary) of Dundee, Florida, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister Pat Miller of Lancaster, OH.
She was laid to rest in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven, Florida.
