DAVID LLOYD WANDER
April 20, 1940-October 3, 2023
David Wander passed away peacefully at his home October 3, 2023
He was born April 20, 1940 in Wooster, Ohio, to Mary and Irvin Wander. The family moved to Winter Haven when he was six years old, and he grew up on Lake Hartridge. Lake life was always the perfect fit for him.

He immediately went to sea with the Pure Oil Company which fueled his love for the sea and the shipping industry. As a licensed PE , he founded his own company and worked in the marine industry for many years as well as various other industries.
His other passion was flying, having purchased his first plane in his 20’s, which enabled him to commute to jobs in a timely manner.
David was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian, Winter Haven.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Laura Brummer, Plant City; Holly Hostler (Rich Mathis), Tampa; son David I Wander, Charlottesville, VA; sisters, Martha Mensch (Joe), Miami: Alice Rossum(Michael), Longwood: Mary Presto, (Charles), Santa Cruz, CA; grandchildren, Sara Lang (Eric); Caroline Cribbs (Cody); Sarah Wander, Tyler Hostler-Mathis; great grandson, Conrad Cribbs.
