Obituary of Julie Marie Linton

Mrs. Julie Marie Linton, age 77, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mrs. Linton was born August 18, 1946 in Florence, South Carolina to Francais and Marjorie Eloise (Young) Hawkins. She was a Winter Haven resident since 2011 coming from Orlando. Julie retired after 23 years of service as an Executive Secretary for Disney World. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister – Frances Ann Worley and brother – Donnie Hawkins. Julie is survived by her loving family, husband of 53 years – Bill Linton of Winter Haven, Florida; 2 daughters – Alisa Anne Grimes and husband Tommy of Archdale, North Carolina & Rachel J. Simonson and husband Kevin of Winter Haven, Florida; 4 grandchildren – Brianna, Reece, Sarah and Abigail; niece – Angela Austin and husband Trey of Cartersville, Georgia. A celebration of Julie’s life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 14th at Calvary Baptist Church, 2101 Overlook Drive Southeast, Winter Haven. Graveside services will be held 1:30 pm Monday, October 16th at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood Street, Orlando.
